MetaFund Launches New Venture

MetaFund is excited to partner with the Arnall Family Foundation, Inasmuch Foundation and Potts Family Foundation to launch the Impact Accelerator (Accelerator). A cutting-edge approach to supporting social impact, the Accelerator is a nonprofit intermediary managed by MetaFund that uses philanthropic capital to provide flexible loans and technical assistance to innovative, mission-driven nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

Specifically, the Accelerator will support projects with the potential to improve outcomes for disadvantaged individuals while pursuing a revenue model that promotes sustainability. Financing can be used to expand proven programs, implement new programs, create new social enterprises, bridge fundraising needs, or fund Pay for Success contracts.

“The Impact Accelerator will continue the growth of impact investing in Oklahoma. It allows us to identify creative programs for addressing the social and economic issues we face and provide them with the resources needed to succeed,” said Blake Trippet, president of MetaFund. “It can be used to scale-up already proven programs and interventions, as well as test innovative new models of service delivery.”

In partnership with social impact leaders across Oklahoma, MetaFund has developed a pipeline of potential projects that are currently under evaluation for Accelerator funding and continues to look for more opportunities. Organizations that receive funding will also be provided an array of technical assistance depending on their unique needs. MetaFund staff can provide support for strategic planning, program design, strategic partnerships, implementation, performance reporting and more.

Focus areas include, but are not limited to criminal justice, early childhood education, housing, employment, healthcare, food deserts and child welfare. For more information or to share an idea for Accelerator funding, contact Blake Trippet at btrippet@metafund.org or (405) 949-0001.
