Murray State College

MetaFund committed $3 million of New Markets Tax Credit allocation, alongside $7 million from Tennessee-based River Gorge Capital and tax credit equity from Capital One, to renovate historic Chickasaw Hall at Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Chickasaw Hall is the oldest building on campus and original Chickasaw student dormitory, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and will become home to the Chickasaw Nation's "Chokka Kilimpi" (Strong Home) Recruitment and Retention Program for Native American students and to the college's Hospitality Management Program. Inside the building, 14 hotel rooms serve as a living laboratory and a pipeline to careers across the Nation's hospitality operations.
