OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Impact Investing Collaborative (Collaborative), a subsidiary of MetaFund, proudly announces the hiring of Austin Marshall as Business Development Officer. Marshall’s primary focus will be to identify and secure additional investments into the Collaborative and the subsequent deployment of those investments into high-impact projects.

Marshall brings more than a decade of experience in public sector and nonprofit leadership and innovation to the position. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Development for Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County, where he directed a comprehensive fundraising strategy for a $7.5 million budget, and managed a multimillion dollar grant portfolio.

Previously, Marshall held senior leadership roles at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, including Deputy Executive Director, where he oversaw statewide initiatives benefiting vulnerable populations. His work included deploying a $20.8 million food insecurity grant program and oversight of a $103 million ARPA-funded grant-making initiative.

“Since its launch in 2020, the Collaborative has drawn attention from across the country as a leader in innovative financing for nonprofits and mission-driven for-profits, blending public and private dollars to maximize outcomes for our families, friends, and neighbors,” said Ed Long, president of the Collaborative. “Austin is a talented leader whose experience and commitment to serving others will help grow our investments in creative solutions and scale our support of organizations producing positive results.”

Marshall holds a Master of Public Administration and a bachelor’s degree in applied economics from the University of Central Oklahoma. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

“I’m excited and honored to join the Collaborative and help advance its work at the intersection of public policy, philanthropy, and community impact. By forging partnerships and driving innovative, high-impact solutions, we can create meaningful change for Oklahomans,” Marshall noted.

Marshall and his wife, Mindy, live in Edmond. They are members of Crosstown Church in Oklahoma City.
